    Default Omega Centauri

This is a LRGB image of Omega Centauri. Taken 15 km from the CBD of Melbourne, Australia. High amount of light pollution. But it's a bright object. I think one of the most interesting things about this object is the range of colours within. Lot's of blue stars.

Spectacular! How many total hours of raw images did this take?

Thanks Bob. There are 21 X 300 sec Lum, and 10 X 75 sec RGB. Calibrated with CCDStack, processed with Photoshop CS 6.0.
It was taken over a few nights with a moon ranging from 85-65 percent full.

Thanks. It would be a terrible place to image from - the stars are everywhere. As close as 0.1 light years apart near the core.
