Sometimes I think I do this jump in the lake to load latest versions of software like Maxim so I can tell my clients and see if it is safe at Kitt Peak. I know how to reverse it so I guess that is why. I did do a uninstall of 6.12 and installed 6.13. Sure enough the ACP license was lost so I keys that back in and reloaded the profile. It got back ok this time so that is good. I tried this on 2 laptops first to see if I could get a pattern so ACP could be saved. Oh, I did do a reinstall of ACP this time just to replace anything lost. That is why I was suprised that I lost pinpoint in Maxim DL, first this ever happen and I think the new feature they added is what broke it. Reinstall ACP and License did not work. I had to install Pinpoint itself which I did not need. Below is a post from the Maxim Yahoo and now I think this was not my fault anymore:

For what it is worth, I had only Pinpoint LE on my computer, which I think comes with MaximDL. When I tried to update to 6.13 (without first uninstalling 6.12) I got a message after the download and installation that said that my Pinpoint subscription had expired (Note, I never had one in the first place!) then I was offered a downgrade to LE. I accepted that - nothing happened - but I think I have lost access to the LE version. So this ranks as a stuff up somewhere!!

The good news is everything ran rock solid with my AP 1200 CP3 and QSI 583. So the upgrade went well indeed. Not sure if I will update Maxim DL anymore because it breaks ACP. Not sure why that happens. I can understand somewhat but running the acp setup should fix anything the uninstall does. Maybe Bob, you can back up the registry from the ACP console so that it can be restored as well. Using Regedit is dangerous.
