When using APCC, a software program for AP mounts, and the startup script for ACP Expert I often get a "Mount not connected" error. I think Bob had mentioned using a delay between opening APCC and ACP connecting to the mount. After this message and a few seconds wait I can connect the mount just fine so the question is where to add the delay and what sequence should all this be started? I've attached a "txt" version of the startup script for clarity. This telescope is at SRO so weather and roof functions are not handled via the telescope computer. Weather is fed by the SRO weather server to the computer. Guiding is via ASCOM Direct.
The sequence is as follows:
Powers the needed oulets
Starts APCC (creates virtual COM ports and auto initializes the mount (5-6 seconds)
Starts MaxIm (Autoguide via ASCOM Direct)
Starts FocusMax (Starts RoboFocus Server)
Connects to telescope (mount: wait 5,000 MS)
Connects to Rotator
Connects to Camera
Sets Camera cooler temperature
Startup is complete at this point. Question was how to extend the wait time between APCC starting and initializing before ACP tries to connect to the mount thus avoiding the error message that the mount isn't connected.
