Default Maxim dl hang up is back

My first night with acp 8.1 I got the bad waiting on maxim dl. It was 15 of 600 seconds after doing 8 Images on the first target. I started it again and it was fine during the last hour of the night. If this happens only one more time, I want to either replace the asystem. Asp file with the one that was working or go back to 8.0 with that say fix. A log is useless because acp thinks all is well and Telescope still tracks. Yes into the pier, this is why I got apcc to prevent my ap mount from crashing

There are no changes in the image acquisition code between ACP 8 SR1 and ACP 8. The asystemstatus.asp already has the "no dynamic guider checkbox" change in it, but feel free to switch out the one that comes with 8.0SR1 with the one I gave you before.

Let's try to find out what's happening in detail. Maybe something else I am doing with MaxIm is causing the problem. Have you already turned off all of the MaxIm multi-threading (see the quote below)?

In the attached is a replacement AcquireSupport. It has NO LOGIC CHANGES except for enabling some tracing within the take picture code. It will log the status coming from MaxIm. Maybe we can get a clue. Rename your current AcquireSupport.wsc to something else, then extract the AcquireSupport-80sr1-TakePicTrace.wsc and rename it AcquireSupport.wsc. Your logs will now contain a bunch of tracing relating the the image acquisition process.

Now turn off all of the Separate Thread checkboxes in MaxIm. Then stop and restart MaxIm.

I am not sure if this is a problem because it was fixed when I reinstalled ACP because of the windows 10 upgrade. I am using Chrome and Edge to test this.

I know, Sky x overall is much better in operation and support, but we can't use it right now with acp

Plus 6.12 is out now, and cleans up a few more issues.

I just saw this morning reports on the yahoo group that Maxim 6.12 still has serious problems hanging. I'm still using 5.24 and have had zero problems.

They can be run side by side, so a test with 6.12 in Deans case could yield results one way or another. Any info for Diffraction could help. It's getting down to possibly being specific camera models. The way to switch between MaxIm versions is to run one or the other by hand, by double clicking MaxIm icon. The last one ran that way will be the one ACP uses, even is ACP "starts" it by connecting to the camera in a subsequent session.
