I've had some really frightening issues with some occasional wild slews, or problems with slews not completing. These problems occurred with 7 series ACP and continue with 8 series field test 2. Going back to go over all the settings and doing research I found the above site. Specifically this document references the G1, and I have a G2. Also, it is 10 years old. Should I set the precession as noted? Any other aspects inaccurate or irrelevant now?

I've mostly chocked up the issues with the G2 controller as having nothing to do with ACP. Mostly these issues are related to the CMOS battery voltage, occasional brain dead boot (no other way to describe it).

I thought I'd start here and see your thoughts, but Ill probably move the discussion over to the ASCOM group for the Gemini and see what Paul and others have to say about it. Intermittent problems are the worst!
