Hi,
I have a problem that keeps cropping up....I can't figure it out and I'm looking for some guidance.
I have an ME II with a Tak 150 on it. Everything has worked fine for a while, but every now and then....and it seems to be happening more frequently..... ACP seems to lock up. I usually find it this way and can't figure it out. Two nights ago, it happened right at the start of the night and I was there....did not notice anything unusual that I can point to.
I am directly connected to the scope and the computer sitting in front of me.....not a remote. The web window shows 'waiting for slew' or something like that...but the scope has slewed and appears to be pointing at the target. ACP just keeps flashing 'waiting for slew'......(maybe not exact message, but its close).
The log shows 'waiting for slew' at this point as well. I waited for several minutes when I was sitting there....ACP never recovered. On other nights, just from the images that were last taken, it had been more than 2 hours since it locked up.
Seems that some way the scope is not sending back a message or something. Not sure how that communication is done.
Can anyone give me some pointers to try?? Are there settings like slew speed or something that could be affecting this?? I am not sure how accurate this is, but I think it happens more frequently when the scope slews across a lot of sky.....like going from M81 to M20 the other night.
Thanks for your help,
Wes
