    Default Interactive Astronomy SkyAlert

I've changed out my old weather monitor and roof controller to the SkyAlert and SkyRoof products from interactiveastronomy.com.
I'm having an issue that is definitely related to the SkyAlert unit but I'm hoping someone has an idea to fix the problem. I have talked to the vendor and their software guy is looking into it.
The SkyAlert uses the ACP.Boltwoodfile object and reads a file called "weatherdatafile.txt" written to my Public Documents folder. The SkyAlert seems to very accurately measure the temps, humidity, etc and displays it on the SkyAlert and SkyRoof program boxes. The problem I'm having is the unsafe alert to ACP. The weatherdata file definitely has a "1" bit set on the end as it should in an unsafe condition.
ACP shows the weather is connected but the only time I get an unsafe is when it is connected to ACP at the time of connection. From then on the weather monitor SyAlert can show UNSAFE, SAFE and back and forth but ACP just sees no alerts but does see that weather is connected.
It seems to me that ACP only reads the weather file at the time of connection but never again. I have the SkyAlert settings for 10 second updates but I don't think ACP sees them.
Any ideas reagarding the ACP.Boltwoodfile object, use with ACP or anything I can check to help them along?
    Thanks,
    Joel

Ok, I'm at the SAS conference this week. I have bookmarked this thread for next week and I'll look at the file vs the Boltwood code.

Bob, before you spend a lot of time on this problem I wanted to let you know the vendor sent me a new copy of ACP.BoltwoodFile that I'm going to install tomorrow and test. He was able to reproduce the problem and write a new object to correct it.

I'll advise and attach a copy of the file here if you'd like me to.

Oh, well so he has created a new incompatible weather server ha ha ha... If it works, please let me know how to get hold of him and I will re-do it with its own name and Windows Object ID so it's rally a specific weather server for that system. With a "hacked" BoltwoodFile server out there I won't know what I'm working with at other customer locations...

I followed up and mailed Wes. I'll help him make his server unique as to ID and Windows GUID. Then he can ship it with his product, ideal!!

Good deal Bob. I will say I'm quite impressed with their SkyAlert so far.
