    Default Browser Stops Refreshing

So something is not quite right here. We starting by using IE10 as our default browser and everything worked fine (when clicking the 'Use Web Browser' button in ACP). Then one day, it stopped refreshing with the data coming from the ACP console. If you manually refreshed the browser page, you could get the latest data, but the guider feedback, exposure time, etc didn't update. So, installed Chrome and started using that instead. Worked fine for a few days, but now it's doing the same thing. It's like the browser stops receiving data from ACP.

We've rebooted, etc. but still the same behavior. Not seeing any errors in the logs either. Strange.

Attaching a log for logs sake, but not sure what is going on. Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Greg

Greg, Which version of ACP is the "ancient ACP user" using? (Not that some miracle answer will be forthcoming based on how you respond .) I was just curious.

There have been other reports about this over the years, even recently. I've had this happen to me, but lately it's not been a problem. I remember that the System Status log window update would mysteriously start working again after six or eight image exposure cycles for whatever reason.

It is just with the web log console update, right? The data in the upper windows of System Status (time, etc...) still update?

The bottom line is I can't help you. Maybe Bob will mount a strategic campaign to capture and kill this gremlin.

We're on the latest version. We seem to lose all data, exposure and guide data, web log console, etc. Wish I could provide more specifics, but it just seems to stop.

Update: Today it seems to be working in IE, but not Chrome.

Then I'll log in and it will work here. I also wish I could stamp this one out. It happens sporadically and to just a very few people.
