Default Adding scheduler to existing ACP license

    hi,

I have ACP personal internet and am thinking of adding scheduler.
I notice there is now an ACP personal expert license but no upgrade path to it.

    What options are there?
Is there any way to upgrade to personal expert and sync the support licensing?

Reading the info on the webpage it looks like i'd need to purchase single or multiple user scheduler separately but then would pay a lot more in support the next year (295 for acp and 319 for scheduler instead of 410 for personal expert)

    Thanks,

    Neil C

Neil -- Since you didn't opt to get the reduced price Expert you do have to treat them separately. We need to be fair to everyone on this and keep to our schedule.

    Thanks for the reply Bob,
so the options are buy the separate scheduler licence, at whichever level i want, then separate license updates for acp and scheduler.
or buy a new acp expert license if i want to combine the two.

    thanks

I just have one other point/question.

As i already have the internet license why is there not an upgrade path to expert?

I would quite like expert but don't want two acp internet licenses that I would end up with if I was required to buy a new personal expert license, therefore it would seem logical for an upgrade path to exist where you pay full price for scheduler but get to redeem your existing acp license (Can I sell my old license on?).
I wouldn't expect a discount on the price just the 300 to renew acp and the 895 to add on scheduler.

It becomes a question of how much money dictates at which point it becomes fair for existing expert license holders and other non expert holders.
Expert purchasers got their original discount off the combined price and paid 1350 instead of 1790.
I would pay 1,050 to 'upgrade' therefore paying full price for scheduler and switching to expert.

I want to emphasize that I have no problem with whatever answer you give and I appologize if it seems I'm being annoying I just want to clarify all the options and then decide.

It maybe that just ditching my existing license and buying expert is the more economical in the long run if no upgrade path exists.

    Thanks,

    Neil C

Neil -- If you want to discuss our pricing policies, please feel free to call and discuss with Stephanie or me. A public customer assistance forum is not the place for it. I am sorry if my previous message seemed heartless; I was just answering with the published pricing. Imagine if we made decisions of what to charge people for our products based on public negotiation and haggling. I hope you understand.

    Hi Bob,

I understand perfectly and agree 100%. I wasn't really comfortable continuing this here either as I'm fine with whatever answer I get.

I wanted a general discussion but it's impossible to get across on a forum something that is a simple 5 second telephone conversation.
There's a danger someone will misinterpret what I'm writing that could cause you problems.

I'll give you a call, sorry for the inconvenience.

    Just to provide an update:
Bob kindly explained everything and that they have a standard pricing policy. He then mentioned they were going to be updating the pricing format, which they did a few weeks ago, to better integrate the new ACP/scheduler licensing.
Basically the new pricing format fitted in perfectly with what I needed and addressed all my doubts so I've updated to ACP Expert.
It definitely saves me a lot of time now I don't have to plan when the targets need to start/stop and can just enter a list. Planning was always difficult with the kids around ;-)
