    Default Comm Center Email Posts

    Hi Bob!

Is there a way to receive Comm Center posts (or better yet, a daily digest) via email? It would be more convenient for me than logging in and sifting through the individual threads.

Also, will we see you at AIC?

    Hi John!!

Unfortunately not. I had a 3rd party email integration add-on in an old version of this forum, but it was really squirrely, it used a ton of CPU time, to the point that my hosting provider complained about me being a hog, and it never really worked for formatting very well at all. When it was used to hack into the forum, I removed it.

One possibility, though, is to use Tapatalk on your iPad or Android. It has "push" notification for your own threads. No digest, but something even better: Right when you enter the forum, along the left edge, you will see a list of all of the unread posts in the whole comm center. Really handy. work through them. Pull to refresh. Nice.

I took your advice, installed Tapatalk, logged in, and was greeted with our thread! Wow. I've been using Forum Runner, but this is clearly more useful. I can understand why you took down the email package, and am now laughing at myself for suggesting a 10-20 year old solution. As usual, thank you for the tip and the quick response!

Yeah, Forum Runner was pretty lame. Tapatalk is the clear winner. Be sure to enable push notifications and you will receive alerts on all threads you subscribe to (including your own).

It just pushed the notification for your reply ... Wow! This is more like text or instant messaging.

Forum Runner recently stopped working on my Android. There are lots of complaints about that on the Forum Runner forum. I uninstalled it, then went to the Android store to reinstall it only to find out it's not free anymore. I don't wonder anymore why the free version stopped working.

I'll try Tapatalk , especially with John's and your testimonial.

Please do. I had to take Forum Runner support scripts off of the server side due to the security problems.
