    Default Version 7.0 acp

    Hi,

I am looking to buy a years support and upgrades but want to check when the next version of acp is likely to be out.
I dont want to buy the support licence and then find out it ends just before the new version is released

    Thanks,

    Neil

It will be within the next year for sure. The subscription you get also covers person-to-person support with me :-)

You may come to regret that!

I'm playing with automating all the power, home built cloud sensor, diy focuser (need to write an ascom hub for that) and roll off roof.
The entire setup is controllable via an Arduino over ethernet which will turn on the main power and observatory pc via web or vb interface (still deciding).

I'll be trying to tie all that into ACP at somepoint which is when i'll start picking your brains.
Wouldnt mind an ip cam on the acp interface as well but i assume i'll just be able to crowbar in some links for that.

The problem is you sent me a 15% off email and it keeps taunting me from the inbox!

Hmm... The focuser doesn't need a hub, just a Focuser driver. The roof needs a Dome driver that says it can't rotate (only open/close) and ACP will recognize it as a roof. I hope your roof is high enough to clear your scope in any position. If not contact Foster Systems for hardware/software that can help prevent damage (but not prevent precip from hitting your gear if it fails to park). Whatever you do, make your things scriptable via the built-in scripting support that is part of the Windows OS. ACP works via that whole environment.

Looking forward to seeing what you do!!!
