Help getting chooser to find new ASCOM driver

I'm running a Windows 7 server with both 32 bit and 64 bit drivers. Currently happily running ASCOM 5.5 and a number of ASCOM enabled devices

I'm in the process of commissioning a new Planewave CDK 17 and have just installed the Planewave focuser driver 2.0 (downloaded from the Planewave web site, and installed via a setup.exe).

The software has placed a driver in c:\program files (x86)\common files\ascom\focuser

However, there is no new focuser available for selection in the ASCOM chooser.

I've noticed that there is also no profile for the new focuser (c:\programdata\ASCOM\Profile\Focuser Drivers)

What is missing / what am I doing wrong?

This is an error in the PlaneWave driver installer or the driver itself (which should self-register for ASCOM/Chooser). You can check with the ASCOM Platform's Profile Explorer (tools). YOu won't see the PlaneWave driver there.

Anyway, start with PlaneWave, since it is their driver they need to know about the problem and make the changes to fix it.
