Following on the recent thread in Maxim about software and harware failures.
In the past I have had a few hardware failures while connected to ACP.
Boltwood, dome and even maxim (camera problems). In all the cases ACP also stops responding. This can be catastrophic if it should happen before it starts raining and the observatory is open.
While I can understand that software devlelopers cannot anticipate and allow for all hardware issues can some sort of check not be built into ACP when hardware stops responding - if say an input from the weather server is not received when expected, treat it as a weather event and shut down the observatory?
