Do I have this correct; if I disable sync (I coded it and it works), ACP's pointing correction model will offset the async target in slews to more closely nail the intended target. If it so happens it takes a plate solve image, it will slew again to center the target if need be (and of course update it's pointing model).
Oh, you're using the pointing corrector in ACP? If so, then your mount needs to sync.

But if your mount will point to within a 1/3 Field of View, then don't bother with the pointing corrector.

But what of maxpoint/pinpoint? You help mentions there is no issues with ACPs pointing model.
