Not knowing what "weather system", I can't give a specific suggestion.

At New Mexico Skies, they have a master Boltwood Cloud Sensor and a PC to which it is connected. Then they installed a "virtual serial port" server on that system and put virtual serial port clients on the other systems. Each ACP system runs the Boltwood Clarity program and that feeds each ACP. So there are 10 or so ACP controlled observatories that run off of a single weather sensor.
