Default ACP Crashes after parking scope (TheSky X)

I switched over to TheSkyX Pro and am using the newest "ASCOM Driver for TheSky" v5.2.4. Now when I run my nightly "shutdown.txt" plan which is simply #shutdown, after the Paramount reaches its park position, ACP crashes. It does not finish the shutdown.

Hmm... OK, apparently TheSKy X is doing something different, or with different timing, with respect to the parking behavior. This may require a change internally to ACP or a change to the driver. Since I'm the author of the driver, I can do that. For now, go back to using TheSky 6 till I can tackle this one.

    Hi Bob, Chris,

I don't know if this helps, but I was doing some troubleshooting of ACP shutdown of my own observatory and in the process updated to the latest driver for The Sky that Chris mentioned. It works both with The Sky 6 and X. I am not using any custom scripts, but ACP planner with a shutdown script, it worked fine with no crashes. I still had my problem with the roll off roof, but that is a dome driver issue I think.

Yeah, I'm having trouble reproducing this also.

This was indeed a driver problem. I am the author of the driver, so I was able to fix it. The new TheSky Controlled Telescope driver 5.2.5 is now available on the ASCOM web site in the Telescope Driver Downloads section.

    Moved to Hardware/Driver forum.
