Default Problem to import plan into ACP Planner

    Hi!

I have a problem when trying to import a plan into ACP Planner . I get the following error:
"Run-time error 429: ActiveX component canīt create object"

Any idea what I am doing wrong...?

    Best regards

    Christian

    Hello Christian!

I know what the problem is! I forgot to include the ACP Plan Compiler module with the Planner installer. I will make that change, re-release it, then post back here when you can get the update.

OK, after wrestling with Vista UAC, I have it fixed. The new Planner setup is at:

    http://download.dc3.com/ACPPlanner-4.0.6-Setup.msi

If you are running Vista, turn User Account Control off before installing. Do not uninstall, just run this installer.

    Hi Bob!

I am running 64-bit Windows 7. Will the update work for that also?

    Hi!

I did what you said and the problem still exists... Under About I see that the version is still 4.0.5..?

Yes, only the setup package changed (it now has the Plan.wsc compiler file). OK, let's try this: Find C:\Program Files\ACP Obs Control\Planner folder. Then right click the file Plan.wsc and select Register. What happens? Meanwhile I will check it out on Windows 7 here.

    Hi again,

When I select Register I get the following:

"The module c:\Windows\system32\scrobj.dll was loaded but the call to DllInstall failed with error code 0x80004005.

For more information about this problem, search online using the error code as a search term.

    Regards

    I'm working on this now

To get the Plan.wsc compiler to register User Account Control must be off in Vista, and with the slider down at the bottom in Windows 7. After making this change (on either OS) reboot and then you will be able to register it. But that's not the whole story on Windows 7. It works fine after this in Vista.

I'm stuck right now. I am normally not in the office on weekends, and I need to wrap it up for today. It's been a hell of a week with two software releases, a remote install of Scheduler (yours!), and a burst water pipe which flooded a room with workmen, blowers, and barking dogs!! All immediately after the AIC conference.

I'll look back into this Monday and try to get some advice from some Windows 7 people.
