I know this image isn't anything particularly special, but I thought I'd post it anyway. While I've tried to stay reasonably active on this forum, the truth is I haven't done any real imaging for almost 2 years (just simulators when testing software). This past weekend, I finally had the opportunity to get my setup operational again.
This particular "first target" was chosen because of its position in the sky. This specific FOV of the Veil Nebula is what happens when NGC 6992 was typed into ACP and the sky PA of 345 degrees was chosen to use a PA > 180 to test the recent fix to internal guiding with a rotator.
Technically, ACP worked perfectly - as demonstrated by round stars and perfect pointing. I was looking for the nice teal color intertwined with the red, but this particular part of the Veil only hints of it. Anyway, enjoy.
