Default Live reconstruction of Apollo 11

40 years ago, the guys were a day and a half into the Apollo 11 mission. The Kennedy Library has created a "live" reconstruction of the mission, including spacecraft communications and a history scroller. Open up http://WeChooseTheMoon.org/ and wait patiently while it loads. Then leave it going for a while and look around. It's pretty neat!

I had the audio stream running in the background a lot while it was running, very cool. Really wish they had the entire mission streamed, guess they figured no one was interested in the return flight...

Now you can load it up and pick the parts you want to visualize again, but still only up till the landing.

    Later,
    Marty
