Lesve Dome Controller - programme mods for simple roof/rain control

Hi
I have a normal motorised roll off roof with signal outputs.
I have a rain sensor unit with signal output.
I have a Vellemann P8055-1 USB board.
I want to use this to provide control through ACP. Pierre's Lesvedome ASCOM controller software is unnecessarily complex as I don't need dome rotation, homing etc and I DO need provision for the rain sensor input which it doesn't provide (as it uses all the digital inputs for the other, not needed, functions).
Can anyone help me/write/advise on software programming for a suitable interface???

Have a look at the Developer Information on the ASCOM site. You need to write a Dome driver for your control system. Your driver would report that it cannot slew azimuth or altitude, only that it has a "shutter" (the roof).

I am hoping to write a simple roll off roof ascom interface based on the Velleman 8055 USB board. I would also like to include the possibility of a rain sensor in the design to.

Well this would be really good!
If I use the Lesve ASCOM software within ACP then the board responds to ACP command to open shutter (that can be used to open the roof).
All that is needed is to interface a simple signal input from another digital input on the board that flags Weather.Safe accordingly.
Now weather (no pun - sorry) this can be done and added to the Lesve software, bolted on to it, or would have to be a standalone program that also provided roof control I don't know.
I am NOT a programmer - sorry!!!
