Default The Crescent Nebula (NGC 6888)

    Hi to all,

I want to share my longest data acquisition ever made. This picture of the Crescent Nebula was made with my Tak FSQ-106ED and Ha, OIII and SII filters set for a total exposure of 46 hours.

Unfortunately, the major data was acquired without ACP because I was installing and testing new hardwares during the summer and I was not enough sure about total automatic image acquisition. Some pieces of hardware may hit the mount in some telescope position so I must be nearby the mount when slewing to a different object. Hopefully, the nights were short (3.5 hours max) at summer solstice when compared to 12 hours at winter solstice.

    Your comments are welcome.

    Regards,
    Yves
