Since I had the first clear night since the recent MaximDL v5 beta was
released, I thought I'd try it out, jumping straight in the deep and
and trying to run it with ACP.
ACP seemed quite happy, until it tried to use FM to do an autofocus run.
From the log messages, it looks like FM was unhappy about being unable
to locate the MaximDL window (and inspect tab) although it was
actually correctly getting Maxim to take exposures.
I've posted a message on the FM yahoo group to let them know.
Back to ACP though - although I couldn't do a full image run because of the FM issues, I did get through the guider calibration script - which seemed to work OK.
ACP selected the guide star in maxim ok and initiated the calibration.
At some point I expect the maxim guys will publish the revised automation interface, I think there were some additions but they were planning on keeping things backwards compatible as much as possible.
I have both v4 and v5 installed - I wasn't sure which would get auto launched by ACP so I started v5 before running ACP and that worked OK.
I'll do some more experimentation the next cloudy night I have time, but it's looking good for ACP once FM is fixed.
