Ahhhhhhhh. Great!! That "as Administrator" thing is an "old wives' tale" in most cases. On the ASCOM web site is a big warning at the top of the main home page, and that leads to the FAQ Running "as Administrator" on Windows which explains how it got started (for a good reason many years ago). Try running ACP "as Administrator" ha ha ha ha.
