Hello,

I am considering a work-around to address an issue with my L-500 mount.

The issue is a movement of the mount that requires a positive current input to the RA axis will eventually result in an overcurrent situation that in turn causes RA tracking to lag which in turn leads to smearing of the star images in the RA direction.

The overcurrent situation can be prevented by applying a negative current move after the positive current slew. Essentially, I am considering a script that slews past the target (positive current applied to RA axis) followed by a centering slew to the target (negative current to RA axis).

Yes, it's a kluge and band-aid, but until I can resolve the root cause with Planewave, this will allow scheduling targets without considering slews to target always in the "negative current" direction (CCW around the north polar point).

Another consideration: add an instruction to Scheduler to only allow slews in a certain direction.

Any advice from the experts is appreciated.
