Hi,
I gave in to the inevitable, and allowed Windows 11 to update my box yesterday.
After the update, neither Scheduler nor ACP would start, and I got a slew of error messages about two drivers that wouldn't load: pcdsrvc_x64pkms and iqvw64e.sys.
Nothing I could do (I'm not hopeless with computers, but not an expert) would make a difference--the computer always hung for several minutes when I tried to do anything with either ACP product. All other software seemed to work fine.
I backed out of the updates, but that didn't make any difference.
So I did a "Repair Install Windows 11 with an in-place Upgrade." As I understand it, it's essentially a reinstall of Win11, without messing up installed software or data.
That helped a lot. After doing it, I could start Scheduler, which then properly started ACP. But the error messages still cropped up after starting ACP (and Windows "Memory Integrity" was shut off). The system seemed to work ok last night (but it's hard to tell, since the clouds caused the roof to open and close a number of times, and ACP threw a fatal error sometime in the midst of that; but when I told it to take dawn flats--after rebooting Scheduler and ACP--it did just fine).
Today, I had "Dell Support Assist" (a piece of software on Dell computers) do a check of the drivers, and it found three drivers needed updating. It did so just fine.
After the reboot, there are no more error messages, and "Memory Integrity" magically is on again.
To me, it's clear that the update caused some problems with ACP. It may happen to someone else. And maybe this will help.
If this post is just noise, I apologize.
