I'd start by asking Astro-Physics about this. I know Ray Gralak was really careful to make sure that the mount would start up with close to full accuracy... the caveat is that you can't loosen the clutches, bump it, or otherwise disturb it after it's parked then powered down. If your shutdown parks the mount and you don't touch it before powering it back up and unparking it, it should be good. Ask Astro-Physics on this
