Hi,
In trying to make my start-up a bit more efficient I noticed I was getting a lot of All-Sky solves that take a lot of time. I enclosed a list of the relevant lines from about a week of logs. One person on the Astrophysics Forum suggest to check the computer clock was not off and it is not... would affect RA but I have both off by about 4-7 minutes.
Also the math seems funny... often showing about the same error... low 40s of minutes but if you do the Pythagorian math from the stated errors, it is less.
I have instituted the APCC pointing corrector and not sure that helps as my model is a bit dated.
A bit irritating and just wondering if the software is doing the calculations right and how close does Pinpoint need to do the plate solve?
Cheers,
Jerry Y
PS If this is all I can ask, you can tell my cameras are working. I found my ZWO 174 guide camera was much more reliable with a 6s image that a 4s image. Lots more stars too. Hardware problems seem to melt away.
