Here is the setup: Planewave L500 mount on a wedge with a QHY600 camera. Polar alignment is pretty good, but not totally perfect: 0.254 degrees in azimuth and 0.104 degrees in altitude.
Here is the problem: Over the course of 3.5 hours we are seeing drift of 35 pixels image over image during that time. Given the size of the QHY chip (~9k x ~6k), 35 pixels is small. However, reference the image below, when you stack the images, drift is noticeable. The second image is a graph of the drift over the 3hr duration.
Here is the question: We do not have a guider, nor a camera rotator. I really don't want to add one. So: Is this acceptable drift? I imagine this might pose a problem when stacking pretty pictures also. What would you all do in this case?
