Default Error: Autofill has been turned off

    Bob,

Lately, when I write messages on the Forum, I often get a popup error message within the message edit window, like I'm writing in now, that says, "This form is not secure. Autofill has been turn off." as shown here:

I can dismiss it by dismissing it (X - I missed the X on this screen shot), but it will come back again occasionally.

Of course, I have not willfully changed anything. I use Edge, I'm logged in on https://forums.dc3.com, and I have VPN (in Norton) turned on.

Googling this, Microsoft says this is a server-side error. Google says something about not submitting this over a secure connection. Seems reasonable given the error, except that this has never been a problem before a week or so ago.

Have you heard of this? Do you have any suggestions? Something to do with autosave instead of autofill? This is not an A-level problem, but it sure is a nuisance.

Yeah it's annoying. But I am not about to switch to some other forum system. The history here is priceless. The links from Gemini tickets and the community knowledge is vital.

You’re absolutely right - the forum history is priceless.

Sounds like you’re suggesting an update to vBulletin did this? Is there anything I can do to prevent or minimize this? Do you see this too when you write forum messages?

Postscript, writing this reply on my iPad (Safari) instead of my desktop, there’s no pop up notification about autofill.

No vBulletin has not been updated in a long time. I chose not to switch to their newer version because it would break all f the saved links from Gemini tickets back to the forum, and those are vital to me. It is indeed really annoying. I can't find a way to turn it off either.
