    Default SkyAlert ObservingConditions not showing (was: ACP weather issues)

    I have updated ACP and am running interactive astronomy's Sky Alert and Sky Roof. I have setup ACP to run ACP.ASCOMweather. I have configured ACP to see the Interactive ASCOM safety device driver and where the weather data this uses. It want me to setup the observing conditions server, but none of the options available are for anything I have. I connect ACP to the weather. Tried to run the calibrate guide script and it gave me the message that it cannot connect to the observing conditions server and then ACP hacks.

    Sooooo?

    Thaks,

    When you set up the ASCOMWeather, you should see two choosers in succession, first one for SafetyMonitor and the next for ObservatoryConditions. Do you not see any ObservingConditions for SkyAlert listed in the second (ObservingConditions) Chooser?. I think that's what you're saying.

    I looked at their online docs and they have empty pages for ACP, SGP, and Voyager. So I looked at the video for NINA. It shows that you have to install separate ASCOM drivers for SafetyMonitor and ObservingConditions. Once you get both of them installed, and you select in both Choosers, you should be OK. You might want to give them feedback. When I do that with companies they get resentful because they don't have any customers complaining ha ha.

    Thanks Bob. So ACP was grumpy when I ran the calibrate guider...but when I ran acquire images, it was fine. Oddly, it DID NOT run my skyflats, ACP offered "weather safety script initiated, scope connected, scope parked" in the window in ACP. I looked in the log, did not see any panic conditions, I have no idea why it did this. While I did upgrade ACP, the skyflat setup is the one I have used in 8.3. Other than tell it where to save the flats, nothing to my knowledge has changed as I didn't change it. Weird

    12:13:44 ==== Dawn flats ====
    12:13:44 == Do dawn flats then resume this plan ==
    12:13:45 (turning tracking off for safety)
    12:13:47 End of run.
