    Default Maxim CCD Cooler

    Hello.

Is there a way to set the hours to where Maxim will turn the CCD cooler on and off? Right now we run it 100% of the time and I'd like to give it a break during the daylight hours without manual intervention.

    Any help is appreciated. Grady

I run #SHUTDOWN as the last ACP directive each night (it parks scope, warms camera), and then I run #CHILL -15 as the first ACP directive at the beginning of each following night. That does everything I need. If you want to also powering the camera fully up and down, you will need to write a script calling methods of ASCOM's Switch class, which I hear is not difficult.

Thanks Eric. Grady is using the Scheduler. I will look at that.

It would be helpful if Scheduler-based questions could be asked in the Scheduler area, so that everyone else can better respond. Thanks to all.

Indeed. However I think Grady was looking for a MaxIm-based "quick fix" solution, not to work in the startup script (a longer process). I'll help him later this week with the startup and shutdown scripts.
