Dear Bob,

A new error has started to occur. If I set the option to home the dome on start-up, ACP rotates the dome to the home position and stops the dome as expected. However, ACP continues to report that the dome is slewing. This condition remains until the slew is stopped manually. Presumably, ACP is waiting to receive a signal from the home position sensor before it considers that the slew has been successful? But if that signal is missing, why does the dome stop at the home position?
I have noticed similar behaviour in other situations, i.e. ACP sometimes continues to report a slewing condition after the slew has been successfully completed when slewing to other angles, not just the home position.
This behaviour can cause a general failure leading to the "Operator Intervention" message in Scheduler.
Any suggestions? Perhaps the dome ASCOM driver is faulty?
