I’m sorry I can’t do better. If you are wanting to get guiding goinng through MaxIm and nothing more in MaxIm by itself, IOW following the ACP setup, then nothing in that MaxIm Observatory tab should be connected. The guider gets its connection to the telescope via the MaxIm Guider tab. I hope you can see this (obviously select your telescope type instead of TheSky):

Now go back and read the info using the map I posted above with the IMPORTANT screen shot. I apologize I am really struggling to get this info to you with a postage stamp iPad and slow microwave internet and sketchy LTE call service.
