Understanding the role of Planner

Do I understand correctly that Planner is only to interface with a planetarium program? In our case, we only program via RA/Dec. Therefore, straight planning via the Scheduler is the path best suited for an RA/Dec type of operation. Correct?

Planner is for people who set up and run "sequences" or "plans" in a way similar to other "live" automation programs. It helps peope visualize the night and set up fixed runs then start same. Since you are going to use Scheduler, Planner is not applicable.
