Default Filter Offset Vbs with a Dark Filter

How does FilterOffset.vbs treat a dark filter since it can't find a solution for focus?

    Ah, you're making progress :-)

Do you have a shutterless camera? If so make sure to tell MaxIm to use that dark filter slot for a shutter.

Anyway good question. You'll need to make the dark "filter" the last in Maxim's list. This has the advantage of keeping it out of the way on the web forms. Then when running FilterOffset.vbs, temporarily blank out that filter slot in MaxIm, like the other unused slots, so that the script won't try to use it. Once you have the offsets completed, you can go back in and put the Darn name into MaxIm. ACP gets its filter names from MaxIm every time it connects to your camera.

I ran FilterOffset last night. ACP couldn't find focus when it hit the Dark and just moved on. I didn't see any problem with the results and, since all else was ok, I'm going to move on with it not determining focus for Dark since I'll never call for focus on that filter anyway.

Sounds good. I'm pleased the process ran for you. For the time being leave your filters where they are with the names as they are. When/if you decide to make a change of order or name(s), let me know and I'll tell you how to do it the easy way.
