    Default Migrating to another computer

I could use help migrating Pinpoint v6 to a new computer that will be my main astrophotography computer.

I did notice that my license had expired, and so I renewed it. I couldn't find a way to download v6, so I thought I could get through the night by downloading a trial version of v7...but...I couldn't register for the download because I'm already registered. Caused an error message.

    Help?

    Hello Richard --

Your 2020 license had the link to V6 when it was production but V6 has since moved to the 'old pinpoint' place so you would have needed to ask us for this:

    https://download.dc3.com/OlderPinPoi...6.1d-setup.msi

This should work fine for you on your new machine, though it has not been tested on Windows 11 (which didn't exist back when 6.1 was released)

The PinPoint 7 installer would have told you your license was expired and would not have let you install and thus render your PinPoint inoperative. We never force people to subscribe to keep their existing software running. But we prevent people from installing later versions with newer features only to find out that they are inoperable to license expiry.
