Default Unable to update my license (ACP and Scheduler)

    Hi

I have kindly got my new license from Stephanie and trying to type it in but ACP (and Scheduler) refuses to accept it. Stephanie also sent a license code in the old format but it refuses as well. I do it by starting ACP and Scheduler and under "help" there is a license alternative. In the Scheduler there is a datum template but not in ACP. Shall I use 2 digits for month and date ex. 09 or just type in 9? I follow the instructions and typing the new license in the old versions of ACP and Scheduler and not by downloading the new version and trying to get the license in there.

I don't know what more to do

    Hi Lars,

Maybe this will help. You should be able to type in the information. But for the date, there is drop down where you can move the calendar to your expiry date and select it. The format will be as shown. Or you can type it in as shown (for your specific expiry date).

Both license entry screens are found under the Help/Enter license... menu. Of course, you need to type in your name, email address and copy the serial # code, all exactly as written in Stephanie's message. The two registration's entries should be identical. If this still doesn't work, then something else is happening.

    Hi Dick

    Thanks for your reply!

I'm going from ACP 7.3 and Scheduler 3.7 so I'm a bit off, and it don't looks like that in my versions, Scheduler looks similar but not ACP.
If things works I don't want to change anything, but this time I could not resist making an upgrade...

Lars, your software is so old I no longer have access to a running copy here. Please take screen shots of your ACP and Scheduler Registration windows with the old format serial number in them. Then email the screen shots to me at rdenny@dc3.com. Do not post that license info here. I will try to see why it’s not working. Do not uninstall your old software please! That will make a bigger problem.

Lars, I got your email and it appears that you have your OLD license info entered. What I need is for you to enter your NEW ACP Expert license into those forms, and then screen shot them showing that the OK button is not enabled, and mail those screen shots. Or is the OK buton enabled with the new license info? If you get the OK button with your new license, click OK. Then the V9 installers will work.

Lars, This is just FYI. Here's an image of my old ACP license page for version 7.1.

Interestingly, it did pick up my current license information, including the email and serial number (not shown on this image). After you send Bob your screen shots, you could try re-entering your license data with your dates in the format shown.

And this old 7.1 form has Month - Day - Year. It is a frequent error in Europe to put Day - Month - Year. That is the reason the new forms use a calendar control :-)
