    At this point everything is pointing to a hardware issue. Seems I can move the mount in N/S/W but not E. Howard's working with me on this shortly I hope. The observatory is going to be hot, close to 100 the past few days with no relief in sight. RH 50% +

    So Howard remoted in and found out that there had been an errant calibration that was keeping the mount being able to move east. As of now the mount appears to be operating as expected. We'll see how this plays out over time.

    OK, Steve... as you might have noticed I stayed on the sidelines because it looks highly likely like a mount failure. I'm happy you have it back in business!
