The PIR never registered itself for ASCOM, so I had to provide that in the older ACP installers. I removed that logic because the PIR has been out of production for many years :-) Attached is a script. Place on your desktop, remove the 'txt' at the end leaving a JScript type. Then double-click it.

Running it gives a run time error:ActiveX component can't create object - 800A01AD

On no! That means the PIR driver is not installed on your system. I don't have any copies of that software, I apologize. Did you get any software with the PIR? Is there a driver or other software to install? Are you on Windows 10? It's possible that the PIR software has difficulties with Windows 10 because it is many years before Windows 10 came out. If you have it, try running it once in Administrator mode. Exit afterward. Now try the script again.

I dont have any software for PIR. It is controlled by RCOS TCC (I installed version 1.5.17 from here: https://www.rcopticalsystems.com/support/index.html).

I remember having trouble with the installer on Windows 7, let alone 10. After getting it installed, there was a registry setting needed that Bob or somebody else sent me, see atached.
THe registry setting is the registration of the PIR/TCC rotator driver and that is what the script I provided does.
Arto, did you try to run my script AFTER installing the TCC software?

It is working now. Maybe I ran it first with the wrong powershell or something. Now I can connect to the rotator with ACP. It does show "Mechanical Angle", but not "Sky Position Angle". Should it? I can also change the rotator position with "Set Angle".

ACP determines the difference between the mechanical angle and the Sky Position Angle as soon as it does its first plate solution after installing the rotator. After that, it monitors this offset for unexpected changes. Your observing plans always use the Sky PA.
