Default ACP 8.2.1 Maintenance Release is Available

ACP 8.2.1 Maintenance Release is now available. Things with 8.2 have been really stable so this is a rather short list. Nonetheless, thanks goes out to all of the people who provided suggestions, worked with us through bugs, and kept the faith. We really appreciate you all!! The Release Notes tell what has changed since 8.2.

It is OK to install this with your existing Scheduler 8.2. We will release Scheduler 8.2.1 shortly, but feel free to use this now.

ACP 8.2.1 Hot Fix Release Notes

This was released primarily to address a security change in the Windows 10 scripting engines. We included a few other lightweight changes as well, no new features.

    Bug Fixes:

    • Script and ASP engines now handle the new error code that comes from 2019 Windows 10 updates when a script is interrupted or an ASP render calls Response.End().
    • Self-repair no longer fails when the ACP Program Files folder becomes write-locked to non-elevated programs.
    • If weather safety interrupts are disabled (via Weather.DisableUnsafeInterrupts()) then later re-enabled (via Weather.EnableUnsafeInterrupts()), and if the weather is still unsafe, the Weather Safety Script is now run at that time (deferred).
    • AutoFlat process now properly does token substitutions on the LogTemplate if used.
    • A registry handle leak on startup has been fixed. This was harmless, just unclean.
    • The OK button for the Enter License window now updates on calendar control changes.
    • The ACP Help info for the AAG Cloudwatcher has been updated - They have changed the datafle naming from CCDAP to a generic name (at our request ha hs)
    • The change in 8.2 to speed up preview generation has been revoked. The quality of the preview and thumbnail images was sometimes adversely affected. Use #nopreview for high-cadence applications.
    • The #WAITINLIMITS directive calculations have an increased time-margin (now 5 minutes) to prevent edge condition slew failures.
    • Added a warning about the DoFlat alt/az settings in SampleAutoflatConfig.txt for low-hanging roof users.

    New Features:

    • None - There are a few planned (and no doubt more coming) for the next major release. We try to avoid introducing new functionality in a maintenance release.
