I think this has to do with my particular install but hoping someone can help me with this.

I did try and use the installer to reset the install and upgrade but did not solve the problem.

This is a result of ACP not being able to get to the PlaneWave PWI Focuser. Were you ever able to focus from ACP? I'm guessing not.

I did try and use the installer to reset the install and upgrade but did not solve the problem.
Do you mean re-run the ACP installer, and did you upgrade to the 8.2 Pre-Release? If so, that's OK. If you uninstalled/reinstalled then i should look around to make sure no damage occurred (I believe I saved your settings when I was on a couple of weeks ago, whew). But this isn't an ACP problem. For some reason the PlaneWave Focuser 'ASCOM.PWI3.Focuser' is unknown to Windows (not registered). I'm getting an uneasy feeling that they changed the Windows ID .... since you have a very new unit.

I have sent an Email to PlaneWave for more info, I CC:ed you
