    Default ACP won't start

With ACP installed from a recently downloaded trial-version, I had it running for a couple of days.
However, after a normal shutdown, it does not start (open) anymore.
    I have tried
    - double click the ACP desktop icon
    - run as administrator
    - repair
    - uninstall and (re) install
    all of them without success.
The other programs, Planner, The Sky Plan Capture and Scheduler start normally.
    Appreciate your help.

it does not start (open) anymore.
It would be good If i could have known what "did not start (open)" means. Double clicking on the icon or selecting in the Start menu results in ... nothing? But...

The running as Administrator has probably scorched all of the settings. The ACP installer has build-in repair logic for running as Administrator etc. Did you do your uninstall/reinstall cycle "as Administrator"? If so I may need to get on and try to see what's going on as virtualization or not can cause havoc.

Try this first: Run the ACP installer, not as Admin, once. Don't uninstall. Now try to start ACP. If that doesn't work I will need to log into your system via remote assistance and see what has been damaged and try to fix it. Don't worry I don't mind at all!!

The uninstall/reinstall was NOT done as administrator.

As suggested, I ran the ACP installer once, but nothing has changed. Double clicking the icon does not start the program (it results in ... nothing)

I can add a recent observation:
After saving a plan in ACP Planner, the window "ACP Detected" pops up.
I checked "My Observatory and ACP are ready for imaging", and said "Yes" to "Would you like to start this plan in ACP now?"

ACP started and upon pushing the "Run" button completed the imaging as per Observation Plan (using simulators)

However, double clicking the icon still does not start ACP.

It's possible that the icon you're using is a shortcut that goes to the wrong place. What happens if you use the Windows start menu? If this isn't enough info please let me know and I will call you at a time that we can agree on and I will look.

Using the Windows Start menu gives the same result: ACP does not start, resulting in ... nothing

Strange, I'm out of ideas. Where are you located? What times might we get together so I can call you and log in with our Remote Assistance? I will be in the office all day tomorrow (Thursday) and also Friday. You can email me phone or Skype info at rdenny@dc3.com (so you can keep that info private).
