Thanks, I'll give it a try. Intermittent things are always a pain. I guess there are two issues. One is the "indeterminate" or "Dome error" on powering up DDW with ACP. That's fairly frequent. Does Beta8 seem to fix that? That one is my biggest problem. It's fine if I manually start ACP and then hit the "Close" button when ACP reports a dome error. After a couple of seconds ACP reports "closed" and then I can hit "Open" in the ACP dome control window, then start Scheduler and things generally run fine. Shouldn't have to do that though!!!
Seems like the DDW should always store the last know shutter position (open or closed) in non-volitile memory and then read it out on power up. I realize that there is no real time position sensor on the shutter. The other issue is the occasional "dome error" while in use. Sounds like that's the one that still happens occasionally??? I am using the magnetic switches but I'll look into swapping them for microswitches. I know the magnetics have a bad reputation among dome owners, though the home security folks use the all the time with little or no problems.
Thanks for your help!
