Default Microsoft Windows 10 update and ACP startup issue..

    Hallo,
I recently updated Windows 10 - actually the system did that by itself. - anyway after updating I can`t start ACP any more.
Information I get is: "Registry area appears locked. Cannot continue."
Any idea how to solve this, please ?
    Thanks for help!

    Hi,

The solution is to re-run the ACP installer - the same one you used for your current version. Do not uninstall ACP first; just do the installer over again. You may need to reenter your user credentials.

Here's another message thread that has a bit more information. I had the same problem! http://forums.dc3.com/showthread.php...8297#post68297

    Good luck.

    Hi Dick,

sounds pretty simply anyway... but when I did the re-run of ACP installer I´ve got another problem with Maxpoint and could not go thru ... I attach this info window.
Unfortunately I can´t se the message thread you refer to My user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page...

I Tried to re-run Maxim installer as well and then after that ACP could start normally.

Thank you Dick for your support!

You're welcome. I'm sorry about the message you can't see. This particular partition of the Forum (Customer and Pre-Sales Service) prohibits seeing messages on the Premium Support Forum, which is the source of the message link I attached.

I hope you are up and running again.

Grzegorz's support expired over a year ago so he doesn't have access. Nonetheless, for something like this I'm happy he got help! Thanks again!!

Yes, thanks Dick. We all really appreciate your help!

When you run the ACP installer (at least the 8.1 installer) there is a pop-up window at the end that advises to save the installer to repair ACP after major Windows Updates.
