Lightbulb Horizon Data Interchange 1.0 released

I have just released version 1.0 of our Horizon Data Interchange utility, TA.Horizon. David Wormuth has been busy adding support for TheSky and Observer Pro to the original support for ACP and AstroPlanner so we can now import and export from four different programs, plus export to the console (for testing or backup).

TA.Horizon is free, open source and licensed under the MIT license.

For more information, please see the project home page at http://tigra-astronomy.com/horizon-data-interchange

    Best regards,

Tim, this is brilliant. I was thinking of coding up a utility for this - thank you so much!

    Hi Folks -

After I convert a TSX horizons file into an ACP horizons file, where does ACP store the horizon data? I looked through the various ACP folders and didn't find anything I could identify as the horizon data.

    Thanks,

    -Josh

Might have answered my own question. Do I have to use the ACP Horizon Editor Application (seems to be available here: http://solo.dc3.com) to upload the converted horizon data into ACP?

I had been assuming that I needed to drop the file into a folder somewhere, but perhaps the horizon info is embedded in some other file? Let me know what the right approach is here.

    Thanks -

Josh, ACP keeps it's horizon data in the Windows Registry. When you import with Horizon Data Interchange using the
    --Importer ACP
option, it imports directly into ACP's registry area. Similarly, when exporting using the
    --Exporter ACP
option, then it'll extract the data from ACP's registry area.
