ACP/Maxim hangs during pointing update exposure

maximDL 6.13 log extract showing completion of 3x20min exposure sequence followed by a pointing exposure (6sec) for the next plan beginning at 05:23:14. the 6s exposure shows it completed but ACP never knew about it -- system was hung for over 10min. it appears that maxim never really completed the exposure (downloaded??) as 13min later i "stopped" the exposure in maxim and "started" another one - manually from maxim.


i know that's not helpful to ACP knowing what's going on but i have seen this "hang" during a pointing update a half-dozen times in the past so i was just trying to see if a manual bump could get it moving again. eventually i shut everything down. restarted the PC and the session ran fine for the rest of the night -- completing several plans pointing and exposing fine. (suggesting to me it's a software issue and not a hardware/cable issue with my camera)


it may be an ACP problem but i suspect it's probably more likely a maxim problem -- just don't know how to narrow it down. any suggestions? are more detailed maxim logs available that could indicate what happened between 05:23 and 05:36?
