Default Post Star Fade Bicolor Image

Last week I kept harping about a troublesome guide star fade issue with Maxim 6 and posted my procedure to get a clean unbinned lodestar guide frame. Clean frames plus moving to multi-star guiding which at least for me has laid the issue to rest. Here is an 11.75 hour HOO of M27 taken with the SW120 @ F/5.2 (Ricardi reducer) from the backyard here just north of Dallas. I lost none of the 900 sec Ha & Oiii subs for any reason. ACP shot them between 12:30AM and 4:30AM on two nights.
Processed in PI. Wow it's great to be able to consistently guide long subs! Again.

Ron, this is a beautiful image, and well worth the effort you put into resolving the guiding problem. I know you're getting more sleep now! Regards.
