Here's the link to the talk I gave on the Astro-Imaging Channel last night (Sunday Dec 8 0230 UTC). I develop the concepts and principles behind ASCOM, its interfaces, connectivity, and future. Conceptual discussion, lightly technical, mostly gut-level. My hope is that the concepts I present will help you to make better use of your modular astronomy systems, and specifically to solve problems by understanding how the pieces are put together.
