Optec temp compensation and acquirestar

I have acquirestar working nicely with the TCF-S3. However, I'd like to include temperature compensation in the loop. The FocusMax documentation suggests that this is possible using the FocusMax hub in MaxIm and checking temp compensation on the options tab. It supposedly releases temp compensation before focusing, and then re-enables it when focusing is complete. However in testing it seems that it doesn't work with acquirestar (ie, FM throws an error when temp compensation is checked).

I know it's a long shot, but I'm hoping to be able to appeal to the FM developers to include acquirestar in this logic, if possible.
