Something went wrong
Hi!
Downloaded the trial of ACP, reading evry single line in the help file for first time users, but something went wrong.
I am playing in simulation mode, but after making a plan, saving it, and then click on RUN on the ACP consol, this happens:

Have been foundling around with this the whole weekend, but canīt find any solution by myself.
Best regards

I apologize for the problems!! Please go to ACP Preferences, Debugging tab, and enable this option (picture below). Now run and re-create the problem. Take a screen shot of the popup window (Windows snipping tool) and reply with that image. I can tell what is wrong, I can help you get going, and I will prevent this useless error message in the upcoming Version 8 of ACP!!

Hi Bob, and thanks for fast answer.
I should have been more patient, and waiting for an answer on my problem, instead I thought that mybe if I uninstall the FocusMax, and only use PWI as my auto-focuser it will be better.
But now I canīt start up ACP, I get Run-Time error 339 "Component "mscomct2.ocx" or one of its dependencies not correctly registered:a file is missing or invalid.

Ah yes, of course you don't need to uninstall FocusMax to use PWI. The two will exist on the same system no problem. You simply switch back and forth in ACP. It sounds like the uninstall of FocusMax removed a critical Microsoft component "mscomct2.ocx". The short solution is to install FocusMax again.
PS: I recommend against uninstall/reinstall cycles as a troubleshooting technique.
PPS: I apologize for being out of the office last Wed-Fri.

Have you been switching around between , and . as your decimal point? Somehow an incompatible numeric string was stored in a place that has protection against the differences. The only way it can happen is for it to have been stored with Windows set for one decimal setting and then retrieved with Windows set to the other.
If you are familiar with Regedit I can give you a quick fix for this, but it may only be the first of many if you have data mixed in with both decimal point forms. I can also get onto your system and fix that one issue if you aren't familiar with regedit. Let me know.
If there are more of these due to locale-switching I may be able to help you via editing a saved profile.
Let me know about Regedit as a first step.

Yes I have, because here in Norway we use , and nearby all my astro software use .
No, I am not familiar with Regedit.

OK, decide which way you want to run Windows, with . or , then after you have decided, save your profile in ACP (ACP menu, Save Profile as...) and reply here with it attached (<- link to attaching instructions). I will try to clean it up and send you back one for . or , whichever you decide to use. The mixture is the problem.

The profile I got has the data in correct form. Can you please try to test it again? The error you got in the screen shot should not occur now.
